Position: Account Associate(full-time)

The Account Associate (AA) at The TASC Group plays a critical

role on client accounts, supporting all day-to-day client

activities, projects and teams at a tactical level with direction

from senior leadership.

They possess effective written and verbal communication and time

management skills and display a keen desire to learn and grow in

media and client relations. They have the ability to work adeptly

on multiple projects.

A successful AA will ensure efficiency and productivity on

client accounts and show great initiative in their own growth. They

will work with supervision and direction from senior leadership,

while growing their own skillset and expertise in PR.

Core Responsibilities/Duties:

Media Relations

Develop a good understanding of media relations and best

practices re: media management

Support JAEs/AEs/SAEs and senior management on execution of

strategic outreach plans for client campaigns or events

Support on development of effective press materials such as

press releases, op-eds, case studies & media kits

Craft effective pitches

Conduct thorough media research and create customized media

lists for client campaigns

Conduct media outreach under guidance and strategic direction

from senior staff

Begin to secure media placements under guidance and strategic

direction from senior staff

Develop and grow media contact network

Client Relations

Play a critical supporting role on 4 – 6 client accounts

Develop weekly client meeting agendas, meeting recaps and/or

media reports with senior supervision

On a selective basis, potentially work with AEs/SAEs or senior

management to liaise with clients

Social Media

Monitor and track social media for TASC

Provide tactical support on TASC social media accounts


Provide administrative support for senior management (i.e.

schedule meetings, manage travel, etc.)

Provide support and strategic input on TASC new business

opportunities and TASC marketing efforts

Assist senior team with new business research and


Oversee with support of intern team office management (i.e.

supplies, water, snacks, etc.)


Support on management and delegation of tasks to intern



Display creative thinking to support development of media

strategy plans for clients

Basic Candidate Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Keen interest in public relations, communications, nonprofit

and advocacy work, social justice issues and/or politics

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
